What we collect, why, and for how long
| What | Why | Lawful basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form: your name, company (optional), email, phone number and message, the time you sent it, and your IP address. | To reply to your enquiry and discuss work with you. The IP address helps us spot and block spam and abuse of the form. | Our legitimate interest in answering enquiries; where you ask about a project, steps you ask us to take before entering a contract. | 24 months, then deleted automatically. If your enquiry becomes a project, we keep what the contract needs for as long as the law requires. |
That is the only personal data the site collects. We do not track visitors: no analytics, no advertising and no profiling. We do not sell your data or make automated decisions about you. You do not have to give us any data to read this site; without contact details we cannot reply to an enquiry.
Who receives it
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the site and its data on our behalf.
- Our email provider: contact-form messages are emailed to our team mailbox.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so reading the site sends nothing to other companies.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie, only on the contact page and the admin area. See our cookie policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and move it to another organisation. Contact contact@modnyco.com — we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Messages are stored on our server, outside the public website, and only signed-in staff can see them.
Changes
If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and the date at the top.
